I tried installing it from my root directory but the system won't let pip install it because it is already installed. Does this have something to do with the PATH variable? I found something on the internet that seemed similar to my problem with another program on the Windows system, but I have found nothing for the Mac OS. I am using Mac OX X with the El Capitan system installed. I have restarted my computer and that does not help. Once installed, you should now be able to access the wget command from a command line window. Requirement already satisfied (use -upgrade to upgrade): wget in I have wget installed (version 1.17. Make sure it is the setup program and not just the source otherwise it won’t work. Here is the relevant portion of my session: $ wget ![]() I know I am doing something really stupid here but I have tried the things I can think of. Ok, lets explain why you get command not found.What you are telling sudo to do is to execute the wget\ command which do not exist.
